Kitschy Kitchen BoM #2 Cookie Jar

Quiet Play Kitschy Kitchen Cookie Jar

The seam ripper is my friend. The seam ripper is my friend. The seam ripper is my friend.
For such a simple design it is amazing how much ripping I did. Maybe if I would just go my the number letter sequence of piecing. THAT MAY HELP. I am going to learn. If you read the sequence of this BoM   Kristy is doing from easiest to hardest - closing with Ms. Betty - the middle block.... and she looks very complicated. I hope I get it by then. Choosing the fabric took me several days. I had to feel secure in my choices before I started. Any way I think the block is fine. Should I pull out the embroidery machine and write the word Cookie on it? Hum, something else to contemplate... Have a great day!

Quilt Doodle, Spools and Dr.Suess

Cozy Cabin

Today Quilt Doodle Designs came out with her second block for 2014. I thought it was going to be a row-a-long but along with the "Cozy Cabin" block released today Cindy also released the layout (for color planning). I think this quilit is going to be so cute and I am so glad I found Cindy and her blog.

Spools, Spools, Spools

I LOVE SPOOLS and I found a great BoM by  Adventures of a Quilting Diva -  Laura West Hong   and the cool thing is that it is seven months into the series. I had a few hours sooooo I sewed them all..... They are 6-1/2" X 12-1/2" unfinished.
Aren't they cute?
I love um.
Aurifil is doing a BoM and their first block is a spool block. I guess I am IN!!

Dr. Suess Top Done

Been sewing alot and it is finally starting to show. Finally finished piecing the Dr. Seuss  baby quilt top I have been working on. I learned a lot! One thing is hay... I am not ready to design any type of quilt yet. Two - even though I have EQ7 that doesn't mean I know how to use it properly and I really need to spend some time learning it better.                       This finish comes just in time, my neice had her baby this week. It turned out to be a GIRL...      Leah Grace.                             Not knowing what sex this baby was going to be, I planned this quilt but I do think this one is more boyish and kind of too large for a baby so I am going to rethink this gift.
Tomorrow is another day

Block 2 of Morning Glory Designs quilt came out today too.
Looking forward to working on the Fiesta de las Flores tomorrow
